Drishyam, a Malayalam film produced in 2013, was one of the most popular films in the Malayalam industry. While Mohanlal appeared in the Malayalam film, Ajay Devgn repeated his role in the Hindi remake. The Malayalam remake was in numerous Indian languages, including Hindi, due to its success and intriguing plotline. Drishyam‘s sequel was published on Amazon Prime Video in February of this year.
According to the latest sources, Drishyam 2 will begin filming in late December, according to Devgn. Along with Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta and Rajat Kapoor, he will reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar in the film. As per reports, Devgn will begin filming for Drishyam 2 after completing his present projects, which include Mayday, Maidaan, Thank God, and his Disney+ Hotstar online series Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness. When the son of the Inspector General Police is assassinated, the family is put under suspicion in the first half. The story will be continued in the sequel. According to reports, the sequel would be directed by filmmaker Abhishek Pathak. Nishikant Kamat, who died last year, directed the first instalment. The film’s remake in other languages was announced shortly after the sequel’s release.
Meanwhile, Ajay is presently filming Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, his digital debut. He’ll then travel to Moscow next month to film some key scenes for his next film MayDay. He would then shoot for Maidaan for a month after that. The actor will be filming both Drishyam 2 and Thank God at the same time.
