John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi Starring ‘Mumbai Saga’ To Premiere On Amazon Prime On April 27

In their recent tweet, #Amazon_Prime_Video_IN posted about the final release date of the new thriller drama ‘Mumbai Saga’. According to the tweet, this brand new motion picture starring big names like John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi is supposed to release on the OTT platform of Prime on the evening of April 27, 2012.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, ‘Mumbai Saga’ has an innovative plot that revolves around the chronicles of John’s Abraham character Amartya Rao and Hashmi’s character Senior inspector Vijay Sawarkar as both explore various tangents of friendship, betrayal, love, commitment, and aspirations in the city of Mumbai during the early 90s. According to Sanjay Gupta, “Mumbai Saga portrays the tale of Mumbai, a tale of what it was and what it has become”.

Other big names who are a part of ‘Mumbai Saga’ cast are Samir Soni, Mahesh Manjrekar, Suniel Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, Anjana Sukhani, Amole Gupte, Gulshan Grover, Samir Soni, and Rohit Roy.

In a post-screening function, both the lead actors Emraan and John shared their ideas about the film. John particularly was very optimistic when he said, “The film has already been a success at the box office and I am sure it will be equally well accepted by the audience viewing Amazon Prime”. Emraan on the other hand has praised the screenplay and plot of the film.

‘Mumbai Saga’ is the third major project between John and Sanjay and both of them are very positive about the film they have created. So, what should the audience be expecting from ‘Mumbai Saga’? Well, the film has had its fair share of positive and negative critical reviews whilst being on the box office, but no one can judge a film without watching it. Thus, ‘Mumbai Saga’ could be a real binge-worthy option for Amazon Prime subscribers as it releases on April 27.
