Kangana Ranaut To Play The Incarnation Sita, Unveils Teaser Poster Amidst Kareena Kapoor’s Fee Hike Rumors

The Queen of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut has recently shared a teaser poster of the film ‘Sita: The Incarnation’. Apparently, she has been signed for the lead role of Goddess Sita. Kangana also unveiled the teaser poster of the upcoming period drama on her Instagram. The information of her playing Sita was disseminated at the point of time when there has been a lot of discussion about actress-author Kareena Kapoor Khan being offered a similar part. It was reported that Kareena had demanded higher fees for the role of Sita, which the filmmakers refused to pay. It is unclear now if the two projects are related or not.

On the other hand, Kangana said, “Glad to be on board for the title role with this immensely talented team of artists. With the blessings of Sita Ram. Jai Siya Ram”. She also added her childhood picture in her Insta story captioning it, “I also played Sita as a child when I was 12 years old in a school play ha ha… SiyaRamchandra Ki Jai”. Producer Saloni Sharma confirmed the same saying, “As a woman, I couldn’t be happier in welcoming Ms. Kangana Ranaut onboard our VFX magnum opus, ‘The Incarnation Sita’. Kangana symbolizes the spirit and essence of the Indian Woman – fearless, daunting, and daring. It’s time we stepped in to celebrate equality in every respect.” Also confirming the news, dialogue writer and Lyricist, Manoj Muntashir tweeted the Sita poster saying, “माँ सीता की गौरव-गाथा, जो अब तक अनकही रह गई!” 

It is also reported that Ranveer Singh has been approached for the role of Raavan in the movie. As per reports, the actor loved his part and was waiting for the final call. Sita: The Incarnation is an upcoming film based on the mythological character from Epic Ramayana. The movie will be directed by Alaukik Desai and is backed by producer Saloni Sharma from SS Studio. The movie is penned by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who also wrote from Kangana’s last release, Thalaivii. The film is to be released in five different languages.
