Manoj Bajpayee’s Father RK Bajpayee In Critical Condition, Admitted To Hospital In Delhi

The father of Bollywood star Manoj Bajpayee, RK Bajpayee has been hospitalised at a Delhi hospital. Manoj’s father’s condition is said to be critical, according to a report by ANI. Bajpayee, who was filming for a project in Kerala when he learned of his father’s illness, instantly flew to the national capital to be with his family at this tough period. Manoj has yet to provide any information about his father’s condition.

“I came from my village in Bihar to Delhi at the age of 18. I joined Delhi University. Finishing my graduation was my father’s dream. He did not want me to leave studies.. So I really wanted to fulfill his dream and somehow managed to complete the course and take a degree” Manoj revealed how his father urged him to finish his schooling before pursuing his passion for acting in a recent interview with ANI. He further shared that his father named him after actor Major Kumar. Bajpayee told to Spotboye “I am very close to both my parents. They named me after their favourite actor Manoj Kumar. My father had to struggle to put my siblings and I through our basic education. From my childhood, I dreamt of being an actor,”

On the work front, Manoj Bajpayee was recently seen in the web series The Family Man 2 alongside Samatha Akkineni that was streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Bajpayee earned an award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2021 for his performance in the film. He stated, “It is a big win not for me but for the team of ‘The Family Man’, because be it film or a web series, it is teamwork that matters. Yes, my character, Srikant Tiwari, has been loved by everyone and it is also one of the top shows in the world now. So, I am happy that the web series worked, it has got loved globally! That is fantastic.”
