Mumtaz will portray the role of a cricketer in a future Bollywood sports drama

Mumtaz Sorcar made her Bollywood debut as a boxer in “Saala Khadoos,” and when questioned she addressed that she is now scheduled to play a cricketer in an upcoming Bollywood sports drama.

Since the shoot is presently halted owing to the current COVID 19 lockdown protocol, the actress is keeping herself occupied by her basic training session home. “The shooting is currently halted owing to the pandemic and lockdown. We’ll resume shooting once things have returned to normal and the cast is fully vaccinated. It’s a cricket film, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it! I can’t say much more about the plot right now, but the character I’ve been offered is truly unique, and I’m excited to be a part of this film,” said Mumtaz.

On being asked if she was a cricket fan since she is doing a film about cricket. To this, the actress responds that she has always experimented with other sports such as boxing, tennis, badminton, and basketball. “During my school years, I was really involved in sports. At the YMCA, I had even won a few gold medals. Cricket, on the other hand, was not a sport that drew my interest. It was one of the few games that did not catch my interest. I know that sounds weird, given how enthusiastic the entire nation is about cricket. Of course, I’m excited about the game now. I’ve tried it out. I’ve also put in the necessary preparations”, the actress stated, “I like the game more these days.”

Mumtaz admires Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Jhulan Goswami when asked who her favorite cricketer is. Is she more of a bowler or a batsman? “Since my character in the film is a pacer, I believe I am a better bowler for the time being. More than batting, I’ve been practicing bowling. But, personally, I enjoy both since they both have their advantages,” Mumtaz concluded.
