‘Tanhaji’ Fame Sharad Kelkar Playing Lead Role For The First Time in ‘Deja Vu’

The year 2020 was a successful year for Shara Kelkar. After garnering praises for his performances in Tanhaji and Laxmi, Sharad Kelkar will now be seen in an interesting project. The actor will be seen in an upcoming film titled ‘Deja Vu’. Interestingly, he is the solo lead in the film. Although he played numerous roles, this will be his first film in the lead role.

As per the source, Sharad will be the only character in the film and other characters will have only voices. The film will be a theatrical release, which is expected by the end of this year.

Excited to be a part of the film, Sharad says, “My next film, Deja Vu, is very special. It is the only feature film in the history of Indian cinema to have been shot with the same character at the same location. While the rest of the characters will have only voiceovers. The film is directed by Abhijit Warang, whose debut film Picasso has bagged a National Award this year. I loved the shooting of the film and can’t wait to see how the audience reacts to it.”

Apart from films, Sharad Kelkar has also played many versatile roles on a small screen as well. Sharad Kelkar, who has worked in serials like Saat Phere, is a famous name for films today. He has worked in serials like Patni Patni Aur Woh, Barry Piya, Kuch To Log Kahenge, Sindoor Tere Naam Ka, Bhabhi, Uttaran, Shaitan, Agent Raghav.

Sharad Kelkar made his Hindi debut with the movie Hustle. He made his debut in the year 2004 and then went on to work in Ram Leela, 1920 The Evil Returns, Hero, Rocky Handsome, Sardar Gabbar Singh, Idasa, Bhoomi, Housefull 4, Laxmi and Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior.

Very few people know that Sharad Kelkar lent his voice to the lead role Prabhas for Bahubali Hindi dubbed movie. He did dubbing for Prabhas’s voice. In today’s era where a versatile character is preferred, Sharad Kelkar has also made a place as a voice artist.
